DIAZO PRINTING
Working from a translucent original, diazo reproduction is an ammonia-based process that offers same size prints, positive to positive, on a ‘blueline’ opaque paper.
Opaque paper is available in blue line only. The line color of the copy is blue and the base color of the sheet is white, usually with some degree of background.

PLOTTING
Our high speed electrostatic plotters can quickly process your cad files. We are capable of receiving electronic AutoCad files, from release 14 and up. Our system prints plot files (PLT); DWF files; or PDF files. From here we print directly onto opaque bond, vellum, or mylar. Each print is an original. Our standard paper is 20# Bond, 92 briteness; made with 30% Post-Consumer Waste.
We also plot directly from VectorWorks; either from your MCD or PDF files.
When sending us files, consider the following:
1. Media type: bond, vellum, or mylar.
2. Do you require duplicate sets to be made. How about some 1/2-size sets.
3. Type of finishing: binding and/or folding.
4. If multiple copies require delivery to multiple locations, SoHo can deliver your drawing sets to each member of the design team – from local to international. Include all shipping instructions, transmittals and we will take care of the rest.

DUPLICATING
“Xerox” duplication is a quick way of copying and collating originals up to 11″x17″.
Paper sizes include 8.5″x11″ (standard), 8.5″x14″ (legal) and 11″x17″(tabloid). Our standard paper is 20# Bond. 92 briteness, made with 30% Post-Consumer Waste. Other paper choices include: colored paper, Strathmore Writing, 65# card stock, transparency film, sticky-back film, vellum sketch paper, and mylar.
Color copies of your sketches, chromes, slides, charts, graphs, photos, artwork, etc. can be color duplicated with our Canon and Xerox Color Printers.
We offer a wide variety of finishing and binding options.

LARGE FORMAT
Large format BW duplication, also referred to as architectural copies, can be reproduced from opaque originals onto bond paper, vellum, mylar, and presentation paper. Maximum width for original’s is 36 inches and the same is true for the output copy. Copy length to a maximum of 20 feet. Originals can be enlarged or reduced from 5%-3600%, in a single shot, at a maximum of 400dpi.
For COLOR, we use Hewlett-Packard printers. These postscript devices produce high quality graphics at 2400dpi. We support all the popular programs including Photoshop, In-Design, Quark, Freehand, Illustrator, and Powerpoint. Output is up to 60″ wide on a wide variety of media. We are a Hewlett-Packard Certified Print Center.
Please note, that in addition to our complete large format/digital printing service, we offer duplication, offset printing, color laser, digital color, laminating, dry mounting, typesetting, digital pre-press, media supplies for ink-jet, engineering and equipment for engineering copying and digital plotting.

SCANNING
Large Format Scanning:
Our 36″ scanners, in color and BW, will convert your hard copy original to PDF or TIFF format. We can then burn the file to a CD or send via email.
We can also provide a vectorized file, as a drawing (DWG) or plot (PLT) file. These formats are AutoCadd ready.
Small Format Scanning:
Our 11″ black and white scanner can convert your text to PDF. Upon completion, we can create an electronic copy for you.
Color Scanning:
Our flatbed color scanner scans from transmissive or reflective originals. We accept original art up to 11.75″ x 17″. We can scan high resolution for printing or low res for the web, in color or black & white, with remarkable clarity and depth. Our scanning operators color correct your images to four-color perfection and fix any imperfections in your originals.
Our scanner process produces four-color film separations, and we provide you with a matchprint or a 1440 DPI Epson color proof. We can create a full-color electronic copy in a variety of file formats and provide it to you on CD, or transmit it electronically by FTP or email.

Laminating:
Lamination can be combined with dry-mounting or used on its own. SoHo Reprographics offers hot, 2-sided lamination, resulting in full encapsulation to best protect and preserve images. We can laminate up to 40″ wide by any (reasonable) length.
Dry-mounting:
Dry-mounting is a professional and efficient way to display images. Our standard substrate is 3/16″ white Bio-Degradable foam board. We offer other options (gatorboard and illustration board) for more specific needs; ranging from 1/8″ thick up to 1/2″ thick in either white or black.
Tabs:
We offer a solution to the generic tabs found elsewhere. Our tabs are custom to your specifications; usually within 24 hours. We are able to die-cut the tab to virtually any length. Finished tabs include clear tape over the tab for added strength and durability; clear tape over the spine for continued added strength; and PMS matching color. We offer a rainbow selection of 65# card stock.
